Stewart Code

Software & AI

Software that takes the busywork off your desk

The short answer

What we build, and for whom

Stewart Code builds custom software and AI automation for service businesses anywhere in the US: one office workflow automated end to end, a customer portal or quoting tool, or a connector that lets AI assistants read your own data. Each project has a written scope and a fixed price before work starts, a person approves the AI's work at the step where a mistake would cost you, which you choose, and you own the code.

This is for the owner who already has a website and still loses hours every week to retyping leads, chasing quotes, copying jobs from one system into another or answering the same five questions by phone. If the problem is "nobody can find us", start with websites or search instead. Software fixes what happens after the phone rings.

What you get

Three ways to start

Pick the smallest one that removes the problem. Each has its own page with the detail.

01

AI Automation Sprint

One workflow, automated end to end, with a human checkpoint where a mistake would cost you.

  • Example: web lead → instant reply → CRM → booking → follow-up
  • An AI step only where it saves real time
  • A written runbook and 30 days of support

02

Web apps and portals

Tools your customers or crew use in a browser, built to the same speed and quality standard as our websites.

  • Customer portals and job status pages
  • Quoting and estimate tools
  • Catalogs with Stripe checkout and prices you edit yourself

03

AI connectors (MCP)

A secure, read-only bridge so assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT can answer from your real catalog, price list or documents.

  • Read-only by default
  • Every request logged
  • Works with the assistants your staff already use

Prices

Published prices, pulled live from our catalog

Fixed items can be bought today. Larger builds start with paid discovery, and that fee is credited to the build. Multi-system programs for larger companies are on enterprise. A chat assistant for your website visitors is the AI Site Assistant.

Proof

Built by someone who runs his own software

Shaun Patrick Stewart, the founder, built and runs a subscription software product with a catalog, Stripe payments, a large database and an AI connector that assistants use to read it. The same habits go into client work: tests that are shown to fail against a planted bug before they are trusted, prices that live in one place, and nothing deployed from a broken build.

The site you are reading works the same way. Its prices come from a database on every visit, and you can see how in under the hood. Press "X-ray this page" in the header to inspect it yourself.

We publish a client case study only when the client agrees in writing. Everything else you can test yourself: the measured scores and the engineering notes.

How it runs

Small, checked steps

Map the job

A scoping call where you walk us through the task as it happens today: who touches it, which systems, and where it goes wrong.

Write the scope

A one-page scope with the fixed price, what is included, what is not, and how we will both know it works.

Build and test

Built in short rounds. You see a working demo, not a slide deck, and every round ships with its tests.

Hand over

A runbook in plain English, the accounts in your name, and a support window. Optional monthly care keeps it running.

The full timeline is on the process page.

Before you call

A two-minute test: is this worth automating?

Write down one task and answer four questions. If you get three yeses, it is usually worth a sprint.

  • Does it happen at least several times a week?
  • Does it follow the same steps most of the time?
  • Does it move information between two or more places (email, a form, a spreadsheet, your CRM, your calendar)?
  • Does a delay or a typo cost you money, a job or a customer's patience?

Tasks that need judgment on every run, such as pricing an unusual job, stay with a person. We automate the gathering and the paperwork around that judgment, not the judgment.

FAQ

Questions owners ask about custom software

Do I need custom software, or is there an app for this?

Often there is an app. If an off-the-shelf tool does the job for a monthly fee, we will tell you on the call and you will not pay us to rebuild it. Custom work makes sense when you are stitching several tools together by hand or paying for features you never use.

Will AI send things to my customers without anyone checking?

Not unless you decide it should. Every automation we build has a human checkpoint at the step where a mistake would cost you, such as a quote amount or a message to a new customer. You choose where that checkpoint sits.

Who owns the code and the accounts?

You do. The code, the hosting account and any service accounts are set up in your name from day one, ownership of the code we write passes to you on full payment, and you get a runbook so another developer could take over.

What does it cost to keep running?

Hosting and AI usage are billed to you at cost by the providers, in your own accounts. If you want us to watch it, fix it and make small changes, Automation Care is a monthly plan shown in the prices above. It is optional.

How do you price larger projects?

Larger builds start with a paid discovery session that produces an architecture and an estimate in two-week sprints. The discovery fee is credited to the build if you go ahead.
