How a project runs

The short answer

What working with us looks like

A project runs in eight stages: a 20-minute scoping call, a written proposal, a signed agreement and deposit, intake (one questionnaire and a 45-minute intake call), the build, a separate review, launch, and a monthly report. Your part is mostly two calls, one questionnaire and approving the mockup, and you always know which stage you are in.

Every build is founder-led: Shaun runs a disciplined AI build system, checked by a separate AI review pass that hasn't seen the build and then by Shaun himself. That is how the studio builds to a 200+ point standard without cutting corners, and it is why we take on at most two builds at a time.

Your written proposal gives the start date. A Launch, Growth or Signature website, small or large, is finished within 7 days of the day you approve the mockup and send your content. Edits after launch are done within two business days. Online stores, platform builds and software are quoted case by case, by size and complexity, with the timeline in writing before you pay a deposit.

Stage by stage

From first call to launch

1. Qualify: a 20-minute scoping call

You email three answers (budget band, timeline, your web address). Before the call we run your current site through our Site X-ray, so the call starts with facts, not a sales pitch. If we are not the right fit, we say so.

2. Propose: a written scope

A proposal built from our published catalog: what is included, what is not, the fixed price and the start date. The start date is real, because we only run two builds at once.

3. Agree and pay the deposit

An e-signed service agreement and a deposit through Stripe Checkout. We never see your card. The balance is invoiced at the milestones in the agreement.

4. Intake: one questionnaire and one call

A 45-minute intake call turns your goals into a written brief, and one structured questionnaire collects your facts: business name, address and phone exactly as you want them shown, services, service area and photos. Logins are shared only through a password manager, never by email or text.

5. Design and build

You approve a mockup with real copy before any page is built. Then each page is built to our published standard, with speed, accessibility and structured data checked on every change, not saved for the end.

6. Separate review

A separate AI review pass, which has not seen the build, works through the site looking for problems, then Shaun reviews every page by eye on a phone and a computer. Anything found is fixed and re-checked.

7. Launch

Every form is tested on the live address before your domain is switched over. After launch we measure each page with Google PageSpeed Insights and give you the results.

8. Report monthly

If you choose a monthly plan, you get a short report: search performance, speed, uptime and what we did. It is written to be read in two minutes.

House rules

How we keep projects on track

Two builds at a time

At most two builds are in progress at once, so yours is never at the bottom of a pile.

Changes quoted first

If the scope changes, the change is quoted in writing before we do the work.

Your accounts from day one

Domain, hosting, code and analytics are set up in your name, so there is nothing to hand back at the end.

Nothing ships from a broken build

If an automatic check fails, the change does not go live until it passes.

Software projects

How software and automation differ

Software builds follow the same stages with one change: larger projects start with paid discovery, which produces an architecture and an estimate, and the build then runs in two-week sprints. Each sprint ends with a demo you can click and the tests that prove it works. See software and AI.

FAQ

Questions about how projects run

Do I have to write the website copy?

No. We write it from your intake questionnaire and the first call. You check it for facts and approve it with the mockup.

What if I do not like the mockup?

You see the design before any page is built, so changes at that point are cheap. We revise it within the agreed scope until you approve it.

Who actually does the work?

Shaun Patrick Stewart, the founder, using a disciplined AI build system. A separate AI review pass checks the work before launch, then Shaun checks every page himself.

Will my current site go down during the rebuild?

No. Your current site stays live until the new one passes its launch checks, and the domain is switched only then.

How do I pay?

A deposit by Stripe Checkout when you sign, then the balance by Stripe invoice at the milestones in your agreement. Monthly plans bill the same card.

Next step

See where your site stands, then talk to the person who builds it.

Run the free X-ray on your own site, or book a free scoping call. Either way you see real numbers before you spend anything.
