SEO services for service businesses across the US

The short answer

What SEO from Stewart Code covers

Our SEO work gets a service business found when people near you search for the work you do: in Google's map pack, in normal results and in AI answers. Technical SEO is built into every website we deliver, and ongoing SEO is a monthly plan that adds local search, new content and a written report on what moved.

That split matters. Most of what keeps a site from showing up is fixed once: slow pages, missing structured data, broken links, pages Google can't read. The rest is steady work you repeat every month: new pages that answer real customer questions, Google Business Profile posts, review replies and tracking what people actually typed.

No one can promise you first place on Google, and Google says so in its own guide to hiring an SEO. We promise the work, the standard it's built to and a report you can check. Good work gives rankings the best chance; they are never guaranteed.

Three parts

The three kinds of SEO a trades company needs

Each one has its own page, so you can read only the part you care about.

01

Local SEO

Showing up in the map pack and "near me" searches across your service area.

  • Google Business Profile set up by the rules
  • Review requests and replies
  • Service-area pages with real content

02

Technical SEO

The plumbing under the site: crawling, schema, speed and sitemaps.

  • Core Web Vitals in the "good" range
  • Structured data with zero errors
  • Clean sitemaps and redirects

03

AI search

Being described correctly when someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity who to call.

  • An AI facts page
  • Answer-first writing
  • A monthly AI-answer scorecard

Use this yourself

A 10-minute SEO check you can run today

You don't need us for this. Do it on your phone, signed out of Google, and write down what you find.

  1. Search your main service plus your city ("roof repair" plus your town). Note whether you appear in the map pack, and who does.
  2. Search your business name. Does your logo show? Are your hours and phone right?
  3. Run your homepage through Google PageSpeed Insights. Look at the mobile score and whether Core Web Vitals pass.
  4. Run it through Google's Rich Results Test. Any errors?
  5. Count your Google reviews from the last three months. Did you reply to each one?
  6. Check whether each service you sell has its own page, or all sit on one "Services" page.
  7. Ask ChatGPT "Who are the best [your trade] companies in [your county]?" and see if you're named.

If three or more of those came back badly, the fix list is usually clear. Our free Site X-ray runs Google's speed and SEO scores for you in 20 to 60 seconds, and links to Google's Rich Results Test for the markup.

Process

How monthly SEO runs

Baseline

We record where you stand: Search Console data, map-pack positions for your main services, page scores and the AI-answer scorecard. Every later report compares to this.

Fix the foundation

Technical problems come first, because content on a broken site is wasted. If we built your site, this is already done.

Publish and post

Each month: new content tied to one search each, Google Business Profile posts and review reply drafts you approve.

Mine the questions

We pull the long questions people actually typed from Search Console and answer them on the page Google already shows.

Report

What we did, what moved, what didn't, and calls or form leads by source. Misses included.

FAQ

Questions owners ask about SEO

How long does SEO take to work?

Technical fixes can show in Search Console within weeks, once Google recrawls the pages. Local rankings and new content usually take several months to settle, and the timing depends on your trade, your area and your competitors. That is why the monthly plan has a 3-month minimum and goes month to month after that.

Can you get me on page one?

No one can promise that, and Google warns against anyone who does. We control the work: the speed, accessibility and error-free structured data of the pages we build, and a clear report of the work done each month.

Do I need monthly SEO if you built my site?

Not always. The build includes full technical SEO. If you're in a quiet trade and area, the Care plan may be enough. If competitors are active in the map pack, or you want to rank in more cities, the monthly search plan is the work that moves that.

Will you work on a site you didn't build?

Yes. We start with a Deep Audit so we both know what's broken. Some platforms limit how far speed and schema can go; the audit tells you that before you spend more.

How will I know it's working?

Each monthly report shows Search Console clicks and impressions, map-pack positions for your main services, the AI-answer scorecard, and calls and form leads by source, compared to the baseline we recorded in month one.
