Make your existing site fast

The short answer

What the Speed Sprint is

The Speed Sprint takes the site you already have and makes its ten most important page templates fast, measured by Google's Core Web Vitals. It is a fixed price, scoped from a Site X-ray of your site, with a written target before we start and the measured result reported against it when we finish.

It is for owners who like their site but not how long it takes to load on a phone. If the site needs a new design or new pages as well, a redesign usually makes more sense than tuning the old one.

Why it matters

Slow pages lose people before they read a word

Most people looking for a local service are on a phone, often on a mobile connection. When a page is slow to show anything, a share of them go back to the search results and tap the next business. Google also uses page experience signals, including Core Web Vitals, as part of how it ranks pages, although relevant content matters more. Speed is worth fixing for the people first and the rankings second.

Core Web Vitals are three measurements Google takes from real visitors using Chrome:

  • Largest Contentful Paint (LCP): how long the main content takes to appear. Good is 2.5 seconds or less.
  • Interaction to Next Paint (INP): how quickly the page responds when someone taps or types. Good is 200 milliseconds or less.
  • Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS): how much the page jumps around while it loads. Good is 0.1 or less.

These thresholds come from Google's own documentation on web.dev. Our glossary explains each term in plain English.

What you get

Everything in the sprint

01

Your top 10 templates

A template is a page layout shared by many pages, so fixing one fixes every page built on it.

  • Home, service, area, blog post and contact layouts, as you choose
  • Chosen from your traffic, not guesswork

02

A written target

Core Web Vitals in the good range, and Lighthouse 95 or more on mobile, 100 where your platform allows it.

  • Agreed before you pay
  • Measured the same way before and after

03

The usual culprits fixed

Most slow sites are slow for the same handful of reasons.

  • Oversized images and missing modern formats
  • Render-blocking scripts and unused plugins
  • Web fonts, third-party widgets and layout shifts

04

A before-and-after report

The scores and timings before, the same tests after, and anything we couldn't change and why.

  • Dated, so you can re-run every test
  • Notes on keeping it fast

Some platforms set a ceiling we can't break through, such as a page builder that loads its own heavy scripts on every page. The X-ray and scoping call show that before you pay, and the written target reflects it.

FAQ

Questions about website speed optimization

Which platforms can you speed up?

Most of them, including WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix and hand-built sites. How far each one can go differs, which is why the target is written per site after the X-ray.

Will speeding up my site raise my rankings?

No one can promise that. Google uses Core Web Vitals as one page experience signal, but content and relevance matter more. Speed reliably helps the people who visit, and that is the main reason to fix it.

Why is my real-user data different from my Lighthouse score?

Lighthouse runs one test in a lab. Core Web Vitals field data comes from real Chrome visitors over the last 28 days, on their own phones and connections. Both matter, and the report shows both.

Will it stay fast?

Only if new images, plugins and widgets are added with care. The report lists what to watch, and our care plans include monitoring if you'd like us to keep an eye on it.

Do you change how my site looks?

No. The sprint keeps your design and content as they are. If something visible has to change to hit the target, we show you first.
